A beautiful teal sets the stage for mesmerising waves in a coppery bronze weft of alternating Natural Red Peace Silk and Confetti Shantung Tussah Silk. The characteristic nubs and slubs of the silk resemble the glistening flecks and foam on the surging waves of the sea, evoking a sense of depth and movement.
This fabric is soft and velvety straight from the bag, with a lovely tactile feeling created from the silk wefts. The fabric feels light weight, strong and pliable.
Peace Silk gets its name from the production process in which the butterfly flies away from the cocoon before it’s harvested. This ethical yarn has a very low water footprint and is made from silk leftovers that would otherwise go to landfill. Characteristic nubs and slubs speckle this yarn to give a unique look to each piece of fabric and its natural colours come from the amount of tannins in the leaves that the moths eat.
