Treebeard Nobody is on My Side features a new yarn of hemp blended with Bamboo viscose creating a wrap that is soft but supportive. It feels thin in hand, soft and mouldable, with more glide than grip.

Bamboo fibre is naturally antibacterial, biodegradable and breathable and is sustainably produced, the by-products of the production process are recovered and used in the building industry. Bamboo viscose brings a shine and pliability to the blend, while hemp is a strong and sustainable yarn which adds strength.

The venerable Treebeard, the guardian of the ancient Fangorn forest, stands tall and wise surrounded by flora and fauna. His iconic words feature prominently on the top and bottom borders:

“The world is changing: I feel it in the water, I feel it in the earth, and I smell it in the air.”

This fabric celebrates the slow passage of time, seasons, and guardianship of nature. The colour palette transitions smoothly from cool green and blue tones, representing the lush, earthy elements of the forest, to soft pinks and dark claret hues.

“Nobody Is On My Side,” comes from a profound quote by Treebeard in The Two Towers. His full quote, “I am not altogether on anybody’s side, because nobody is altogether on my side, if you understand me: nobody cares for the woods as I care for them, not even Elves nowadays,” highlights his deep connection to the natural world and his sense of isolation, even from those who might otherwise be considered allies.
